Alumni Profile

Mickey Nuzzolese
My name is Mickey Nuzzolese, formerly Mickey Ludlow, and I graduated from Lumen Christi in 2012. I attended the University of Dayton and pursued a Bachelor’s of Science in Exercise Physiology and Masters of Business Administration, and also ran cross country and track and field. During my time at the University of Dayton I had the opportunity to become involved in athletics administration and found a lot of interest in the behind the scenes work of athletics. I was offered a great opportunity following graduation to pursue an internship in the Athletics Compliance Office at the University of Dayton. This internship sparked my fire for athletics and led to a full time position as the Assistant Director of Compliance, to the Director of Compliance, and now the Assistant Athletics Director of Compliance and Sports Programs. I have had the opportunity to learn and oversee several aspects of the athletics department. In my current role I am responsible for day-to-day compliance activities, which include providing interpretive information and education to athletics department staff members, coaches, and university staff; educational information to boosters; and student-athlete rules education about NCAA and A-10 Conference regulations. I oversee the process of initial and continuing student-athlete eligibility and handle all transfer paperwork for current and incoming student-athletes. I also oversee men’s soccer and volleyball as the Sport Program Administrator. I absolutely love all of the opportunities I have received at the University of Dayton and have the opportunity to pursue my passion for sports daily. My husband, Patrick, and I currently reside in Dayton with our dog Scooby.
The Jackson Catholic School system did more than I could have imagined to prepare me for my life post high school. I attended Queen of the Miraculous Medal, Jackson Cathlic Middle School, and then Lumen Christi High School. Each stepping stone challenged me in a variety of ways including academics, faith, leadership, athletics, etc. The school system was full of teachers that were there truly to help students find themselves and discover their goals and passion for the next step in life while developing and challenging their current skills. I know I would not be where I am today without the structure, discipline, challenge, and love that Lumen Christi provided.
