Lumen Christi AP Courses
Advanced Placement Classes
Lumen Christi Catholic School offers seven Advanced Placement Courses: AP Calculus, AP Language, AP Literature, AP Government, AP Chemistry, AP US History, and AP World History. To receive the AP designation on their transcript, students must take the AP exam at the end of the year. Students in an AP course receive a grade in their GPA based on the AP weighted scale. Students enrolled in 3 or more AP or Dual Enrollment classes are eligible for a study period to be scheduled into their school day. Please indicate your desire for this study period at your initial schedule meeting.


AP Classes:
- AP Calculus, AP Chemistry, AP Government, and AP Literature are intended for Grade 12 (Grade 11 in some cases)
- AP Government, AP Language are intended for Grades 12 or 11
- AP US History and AP World History are intended for Grades 11 or 10
